In this course, students will learn that by administering EKGs (testing the electronic activity of the heart through small electrode patches attached to the body) they will be making a life- changing difference, helping people of all ages prevent and treat heart disease. As an EKG tech, they may perform some or all of the following tasks: ⮚ Set up and administer EKGs (electrocardiograms) and stress tests
⮚ Prepare patients for Holter or ambulatory monitoring
⮚ Edit and deliver final test results to physicians for analysis
⮚ Schedule appointments
⮚ Transcribe physician’s interpretations Per the 2020 Industry Outlook, 87% of healthcare employers require or encourage certification for EKG technicians.
This is an 8-week, 64-hour comprehensive hybrid training course that will prepare our students to be able to sit for their national certification that certify them as a Certified EKG Technician. This course is hybrid. All class work is done via our LMS online platform. Students will come in-house to do their hands on clinicals.

In-house Clinicals: You will be required to come in a few days for clinicals. Clinical days & times will be provided to you by your instructor.
