Clinical Medical Assistant

Medical assistants perform both clinical and administrative duties. They are one of the most versatile members in health care. In this 12-weeks program, students will complete readings, assignments, and in class demonstrations to prepare them to complete duties such as:
- Check patients in and out upon arrival and departure
- Answer phone calls and questions
- Perform basic billing and coding procedures
- Assist providers with exams and procedures
- Assist with minor surgeries
- Administer injections or medications
- Work in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Perform EKG, phlebotomy, and laboratory procedures
- Take patient vital signs
Upon completion of the program, students will be eligible to sit for the NHA certification exam.

- Sessions will be held MONDAY & WEDNESDAY.
- In house sessions will be from 5:30 PM – 9:30 PM EST
- Class length – 12 weeks
- Online hybrid session: Time to be determined per instructor
- (Please be advised that all coursework is done online. You will come in house to do the hands on clinicals. Those dates and times will be provided to you by your instructor)
