Medical assistants perform both clinical and administrative duties. They are one of the most versatile members in health care. In this 12-weeks program, students will complete readings, assignments, and in class demonstrations to prepare them to complete duties such as:
- Check patients in and out upon arrival and departure
- Answer phone calls and questions
- Perform basic billing and coding procedures
- Assist providers with exams and procedures
- Assist with minor surgeries
- Administer injections or medications
- Work in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Perform EKG, phlebotomy, and laboratory procedures
- Take patient vital signs
Upon completion of the program, students will be eligible to sit for the NHA certification exam.

- In house sessions will be from 8:30AM – 5:00 PM EST (30 min break)
- Class length – 12 weeks
- Online course sessions: A new week starts on Monday at 12:00 a.m. EST & ends on the following Sunday at 11:59 p.m. EST
- (Please be advised that all coursework is done online. It is mandatory that you come in-house to do your hands on clinicals).
